Dreaming of a White Bike to Work Day
150 Commuters Descend Upon Daley Plaza
It's
never as hard as it looks. Winter Bike to Work Day 2005 slapped
Chicago with enough slushy character to ennoble all who
opted for a pedal-powered commute on a late January morning. And
Chicagoland Bicycle Federation sweetened the deal, with
the help of Eli's
Cheesecake and
a huge container of hot-chocolate from Rique's
Regional Mexican Food that we hauled out to Daley
Plaza. An estimated 150 riders dispatched cake and hot beverage
and entered
drawings
for
coupons
from, BoKoo
Bikes, I
Can Breathe winter riding
masks, and some swag
of our own.
