Meet the Ambassadors
2005 Team Hitting the Streets of Chicago

The 2005 line-up for Mayor Daley’s Bicycling Ambassadors hit the streets last month, beginning their six-month odyssey of enlightening Chicagoans about bike transportation, safety and road-sharing. From left to right, here’s the new crew: Emily Fitzgerald, just graduated from Loyola University, is a Beverly native and loves to speak Spanish. Will Cooksey, spent two years in Uruguay in the Peace Corps and hails from Arkansas. Kevin Mitchell rode cross-country last summer, from Oregon to Washington, D.C. He was born and raised in Evanston and loves Chicago history. Pete Rangel is an artist with an MFA from Cornell University. Since moving to Chicago from Los Angeles, bicycling has been his main choice for transportation and he says it has changed his life much for the better. Emily Willobee, also just graduated from Loyola, with a degree in communications. She ran the Loyola Bike Club and worked for CBF in the past as a student marketing intern and for Bank One/Bike One Bike Valet. (Eve Jennings photo)
