Shop By Bike a Winner

Brianna McCormick, 7, of Oak Park won a Manitou Sport Bike by participating in Downtown Oak Park’s first-ever Shop & Bike program.

Shoppers who made a purchase of $5 or more, from at least five of the 42 participating downtown Oak Park stores and restaurants during the summer, were automatically entered into the drawing for the bicycle donated by Oak Park Cyclery. Shoppers showed their bike lock key or helmet when making purchases and were given proof of purchase stamps in exchange.

“We were very happy with the way the program went this year and plan to do it again next year and make it even better,” said Chris Jamrozy, Downtown Oak Park marketing and special events manager.

Downtown Oak Park would like to thank all of its “Bike & Shop”-pers, participating merchants, and the Oak Park Cyclery for their generous donation of the grand prize bike.
