Sunday Parkways one step closer

The Sunday Parkways Stakeholder Committee is excited to announce that we have submitted permits to the City of Chicago for three Sunday Parkways events to take place later this year.

Sunday Parkways is a plan to create opportunities for safe physical activities, strengthen community through interaction with neighbors, and display the diverse cultures of Chicago’s neighborhoods. Following Chicago’s boulevard system, a network of streets will be closed to motorized traffic and opened to people and families for walking, running, bicycling and skating.

The Stakeholder Committee has been working for two years, gaining community support and momentum for this exciting project. We are now one step closer to realizing Sunday Parkways in Chicago and are eagerly awaiting the City’s response.

We look forward to inviting you to celebrate life on Chicago’s boulevards.
