Meet the New CBF Events Team Staff

Rebekah Broussard, our new sponsorship and marketing manager, recently came to us from the Women’s Sports Foundation in New York, where she worked on the development team, assisting with annual appeals, direct mailings and the Annual Salute to Women in Sports Awards dinner. Prior to being in New York she was busy working towards her master’s degree in Sports Management from West Virginia University where she was the graduate assistant at the Mountaineer Athletic Club, the fundraising branch of the athletic department.

Aaron Dykstra
Rebekah Broussard

Hailing from Slidell, La., Broussard enjoys volunteering and working with children. Most recently she helped rebuild a playground in her local community that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. She also has very strong ties to Camp Walden in Denmark, Me., where she worked for several years teaching activities, hiking and camping with children age 9 to 15.

Eric Brausch

Aaron Dykstra, the events team resident bicycle expert and production manager, brings several years of experience to CBF. Aaron recently made the transition from New York City, where he has worked producing various events such as Fashion Week NY, private celebrity parties and fundraisers and weddings. He has also done locations management work for a few Indie and feature films and Discovery network programs. In addition to his production management positions he has an extensive repertoire working as a bicycle mechanic. He spent years customizing high-end bicycles and leading road and mountain bike rides in his hometown in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

When Aaron is not producing events, he enjoys spending time riding and racing the streets of Chicago, exploring his new home, and complaining about the cold.

Eric Brausch, a recent addition to the events team, is our registration manager. He works very hard at maintaining the website and assuring registration is processed smoothly. Eric has been an avid cyclist since he moved to Chicago several years ago. He knows the value of alternate transportation and lives the CBF mission daily. He also is an accomplished musician. In his spare time Eric enjoys coffee and kick ball. Originally from Cincinnati, Eric is one of many in the office from Ohio.
