Put your tax refund toward advocacy

Tax Day and the economic stimulus checks are just around the corner, and while you fantasize about where to put those extra dollars, we ask that you consider the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation.

As the voice for Chicagoland bicyclists and pedestrians, we will ensure your donation is used toward our important mission.

Bicycle advocacy now finds itself at a unique and historic moment — transportation policies that will affect the next decade are up for decision in the next year.

Illinois legislators will debate the Capital Bill this spring, and officials will have a similar dialogue about next year’s Federal Bill. Both bills will have significant consequences for our work to ensure safe transportation options for the region.

The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation’s efforts rely on your support as we work to create the best future for our region’s transportation. This future must allow all people to make choices that benefit the climate, their health and the economy.

Your tax return and the country’s economic stimulus package are ideal opportunities to contribute to the important future that is quickly unfolding.

We are happy to direct 100% of your donation to a program of your choice.

Help us achieve our mission. Donate today by contacting Arline Welty at (312) 427-3325, ext. 237, or arline@biketraffic.org.
