Find out what we're doing to make sure the law provides for and protects bicyclists and their rights on the road.

Despite the overwhelming interest in expanding the Bikes on Metra program, Metra did not deliver in 2003. Find out why and what we're planning for the coming year.

Bicycle User Groups
Bicyclists have power in numbers, both on the road and off. That's why we support groups of bicyclists who band together to improve conditions locally. Find out what we've done in the past and how your group can work with us to effect change in your community.

Chicago Bike 2015 Plan

Driver's Pledge
We don't hate you because you drive. We just want you to drive responsibly. Take the pledge and commit to being a safer driver (and a safer biker, too).

Mayor Daley's Bicycling Ambassadors
Mayor Daley’s Bicycling Ambassadors promote bicycling safety to all road users—bike riders, motorists, and pedestrians—and help all Chicagoans use bikes more. Find out more about how you can bring the Ambassadors to your next block party, meeting, classroom or anywhere where bicycling needs a boost.

Safe Routes to School
The Safe Routes program aims to increase the percentage of children who walk and bike to schools. Our team works with parents, school staff, community leaders and government agencies to identify barriers to walking and bicycling, and remove those barriers with innovative solutions.

Student Cycling
Safe, reliable, convenient and affordable transportation is a must for all students. Bicycles fill this need while being socially and environmentally friendly, providing health and fitness benefits, and, most of all, being fun. Find out more about what the City of Chicago and the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation are doing to promote bicycling on college campuses.

Suburban Programs
Nearly half of our members reside in the Chicago suburbs. Find out what we're doing to improve conditions for bicyclists outside the city.
